Double Arch Reef is another five star scuba diving site in the North of Gozo.It is best done by boat.Otherwise it can be done from shore after a 200 metre snorkel swim.From shore one has to enter from Xwejni Bay and find the entrance that is called the washing machine.It should be done when calm as the entrance and exit can be reallt like a washing machine and due to the long swim.Directly North from the washing machine one snorkels at 10-15 metres on the reef.Looking up one can see the statue of Jesus Christ on top of the hill between Marsalfron and Victoria.One has to contine snorkelling.At a certain point the statue is hidden.Continue snorkelling until the statue appears againg and comes between two apartments that are situated in the road that goes to The tower (The rook).At the point face North and dive.one comes at the top of the Reeef and after a few metres you reach the drop of.Contine to the right hand side of the reef and at its end one can finf a beautiful double arch (photo1) as well as coral at rock.Here is home to barracuda,groupers and parrot fish,really fantastic.Also the other side of the reed is interesting.On the way back there is also a small cave.

One can exit wither from the same spot or from Xwejni bay finding a sandy bottom(photo 3).
